Hi there, Julie,
Oh, I know the feeling. I too have felt anxiety over theme park reservations running out for a preferred date. But don’t give up hope! There is a chance that things could work out in the end.
Guests visiting the Disneyland Resort theme parks must have both valid
theme park admission and
theme park reservations. The total number of park reservations for a given day is limited by the capacity of the parks, including the physical space and the scheduled Cast Members who make the magic real. If you see that park reservations have run out for a given date, you may see them become available again another time you check. Whether that is because park capacity has been expanded or other Guests have needed to reschedule their reservations for other dates, the result is the same. In other words, you should keep checking the
theme park reservation availability calendar for openings that work for you.
Tony’s Tip: You never know when park reservations might become available again for a date that has run out. So it’s a good idea to check at least daily, if not more often. But I especially recommend checking often on the day before you wish to visit. Other Guests have until midnight of the day before a park reservation to cancel their reservations from the "
My Theme Park Reservations" page. I know it can be nerve-wracking to endure that uncertainty up to the last minute. So I’m wishing on a star that the wish your heart makes comes true.
Tony’s Tip Times Two: You may have noticed that there are
two separate calendars for park reservations available to standard ticket holders. So make sure to check both calendars, especially the calendar for the ticket type you wish to purchase, 1 Park Per Day or
Park Hopper. There is also another calendar of
theme park reservations exclusively for hotel Guests. So if you happen to book a stay at one of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels, be sure to visit the “
My Hotel Reservations” page to book your park reservation using that special pool of park reservations.
I’m thinking happy thoughts and hoping some pixie dust comes your way, Julie!
