Hi guys my name is Giomara . quick question since it’s my first time going to Disney is it possible to buy tickets at the gate ? or they must be bought online ? Thank you!

Hi there, Giomara! Welcome to planDisney. We are so happy to have you stop by with your planning questions for us.

It's the merriest time of the year! I am thrilled to hear you want to visit this holiday week. Disneyland Resort park tickets are available for purchase in person at the Ticket Booth in the Esplanade. With that being said, this is one of the most popular times of the year to visit, and because tickets also require theme park reservations, reservations will most likely fill up ahead of time. I just returned from a few days at Disneyland, and there were signs up on those days that there were no more reservations available on those days. It would be such a bummer if you waited to purchase tickets there and reservations were all full. I recommend buying your tickets online either through the Disneyland website or the Disneyland app

Be sure to check out the Event Schedule to make sure you don't miss out on any of the great holiday entertainment. A Christmas Fantasy Parade is always a must-do for us, and I prefer the second showing because watching it at night just feels a little more magical. You will want to grab your spot early. I like finding a spot in the "it's a small world" promenade area. It's so pretty with the lights glowing from the "it's a small world" facade.

Giomara, I hope you are able to secure your tickets and reservations for a magical holiday visit. If you have any other questions for us, you know where to find us!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
