Hi Shawn!
Welcome to planDisney!
Uncle Walt loved the U.S. Military so much that he actually tried to join the service as a minor. He always had a heart for those who served, and thankfully that value is still around today. As an Air Force spouse myself, I am very happy to say that yes,
Disneyland Resort does offer specially priced 3 and 4-day Disneyland Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets to qualifying U.S. Service Members. Qualifying U.S. Service Members are those who are currently Active Duty, Reservists, Fully Retired, or those who have a 100% service-connected Disability. The above includes members of the National Guard, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Space Force, the Commissioned Corp of the Public Health Service, and the Commissioned Corp of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. If you qualify, these specially priced theme park admission tickets can be purchased at Military Ticket Offices on U.S. Military Installations, but call first to make sure that your base/post actually carries them as not all do. If yours does not, you might be able to order them over the phone from the ticket office at Camp Pendleton. (Google 'Latitudes Ticket Office' for a price list as well as their phone number.)
The above Qualifying Service Members are also eligible for special
Military Room Rates at the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels. To find out these special prices or to book your room you will need to call the Disneyland Resort Hotel Reservation line, which is (714) 956-6425.
If you don't qualify for the above, but you are a Veteran, look into getting an updated VHIC from the VA; part of a new congressional act that went into effect in 2020 is that Veterans with service-connected disability ratings of 0-90% can now get on base and take advantage of tax-free shopping at the Exchange, Commissary, and best of all the MWR Base Ticket Center. While the 3 and 4-Day tickets offered directly from Disney won't apply to this group, most base ticket offices have other discounts available on Disneyland and
Walt Disney World Resort tickets. (To get a hint of the type of discounts that might be available, Google the name of the base ticket office closest to you and pull up their price sheet.)
Other places to look for
Disney discounts would be any memberships or clubs to which you belong, including Costco and AAA, or even your credit card points portals. My favorite method of stretching my Disney budget is by buying
Disney Gift Cards at Target with my Target Red Card as the 5% savings does apply to this form of Mickey money! I'll then use Disney Gift Cards to pay for every aspect of my Disneyland vacation, from my
theme park tickets to my Disneyland Resort Hotel, even our meals and souvenEARs!
