Hi Sean, and welcome back to planDisney. Not long now until you're immersed in that glorious Disney magic.
Tripods or monopod stands that cannot fit inside a standard backpack or that extend over 182 cm are part of the prohibited items list at Walt Disney World. If your tripod stand measures within these parameters, you should be able to use them in the Theme Parks. Most
restricted items (it might be worth your time to look at the list ahead of your trip), try to ensure that no Guest negatively impacts another's Walt Disney World experience. I think that's a great rule of thumb to work with - think about the collective enjoyment of you and your fellow Guests, and everyone can enjoy the fun.
As a mother to a young padawan, we have handbuilt sabers at Savi's Workshop at
Disney's Hollywood Studios. I know he'd attest that it's an experience worth recording. You may find the experience builds quite the appetite. So I highly recommend the Batuuan Beef and Crispy Topato Stir-fry from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. You can order ahead here, and dining outside in the crumbling marketplace is also a scene worth recording!
Have the best time at Walt Disney World, Sean. We're here to help at planDisney, so let me know if you need anything before your adventure. Louise
