Hi, you guys are great! Do you think Trails End will ever go back to buffet style?? I'm looking for breakfast buffets that aren't $40

Hey there, Beverly. Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question. We think you are great too!

It's funny that you've asked this, Beverly, because I was honestly just thinking about this the other day. I have an upcoming stay at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground and really miss the breakfast buffet there. I loved that on the weekends it included fried chicken and fixings, it was delicious. It's my personal opinion that the buffet there will come back. We've seen some of the restaurants that went to the all-you-care-to-enjoy platters recently switch back to the buffet style like at Cape May Cafe. Another thing going in our favor is that they have not taken down or disassembled the buffet area at Trail's End Restaurant. They haven't even done anything different with the space, so it is all set up to go.

Right now, Trail's End Restaurant is all you care to enjoy served right up at your table. The breakfast platter rings up at $22.99 per adult (prices are subject to change without warning) and $12.99 for children plus tax and gratuity. You can enjoy breakfast items like oven-fresh pastries and fruit yogurt with granola. Then, you'll also be served pecan-smoked brisket and Eggs, Mickey-shaped waffles, bacon and sausage and cheesy potato casserole served with table syrup. There is also a plant-based skillet available upon request. The breakfast skillet is really delicious and your server is happy to bring out more of anything that you'd like during your meal.

It's not a buffet, but I think a really great breakfast at Walt Disney World for the money is the Grand Floridian Cafe. Entrees are in the mid-twenty dollar range or less and it's a lot of food for the price tag. I ate there not long ago and had the traditional eggs benedict that was $17.00 and was served complimentary biscuits and jam. My daughter enjoyed the steak and eggs and it was a nice size sirloin steak with eggs and cheesy hashbrowns for $21.00. It's a pleasant surprise to dine there!

I hope this helps, Beverly. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and ask me

    Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
