You guys are such a great help! One last question. If I purchase the Travel Insurance from Disney, will it cover a cancellation due to illness such as the flu? We are also book air through Disney.

    Hello, Amy!

You may ask as many questions as you'd like! We love to help Guest figure out the best way to enjoy their Disney Vacations, so ask away!

You'll be pleased to know that, according to Walt Disney,  if you purchase Vacation Insurance you can get "100% of your insured Trip Cost" "including coverage for nonrefundable unused prepaid airfare purchased through Walt Disney Travel Company, your Travel Agent or on your own, due to covered reasons" for reasons including "a disabling sickness [...] causing trip to be cancelled." (This information can be found under "Vacation Insurance" on WDW's website, once you begin the process of booking your trip. No payment information needs to have been entered in order to get this page, so look closely as you enter in a possible package.)

In addition, you can find more information at that same location by clicking on "Information on Specific Coverage and Terms." I did, then clicked on the specific document which pertains to you, as a resident of Indiana. In that document, on page 10, I found that the Insurer will pay your benefit "if an Insured cancels his/her Trip [...] due to the following events: [...] 1) Injury or Sickness of an Insured, Traveling Companion, Family Member Traveling with the Insured, must be so disabling as to reasonably cause a Trip to be canceled or interrupted or which results in medically imposed restrictions as certified by a Physician at the time of Loss preventing your continued participation in the Trip." This info. varies from state to state.

    I hope that helps!

Send more questions as you think of them! We love to help!
