Hi, you guys are great! We are on the dining plan so don't have to pay for meals, my mother gave us a gift card as a gift, can we use this to pay for tips? Thank you.

    Hi Andrea!

I always pick up Disney Gift Cards throughout the year, especially during the holiday season when retailers will offer incentives for purchasing gift cards.  It's a great way to stay on budget and also works well for setting spending limits for my children.  Disney Gift Cards can be used pretty much anywhere on Walt Disney World property and that includes gratuities for meals.  Disney Gift Cards can also be used to pay for your Walt Disney World vacation, tickets, resort rooms and Magic Your Way Packages can all be purchased with Disney gift cards.

Another great thing about using Disney gift cards, the bottom of your receipt will reflect your balance after each transaction.  This is super helpful when keeping to a budget or giving my children a simple reminder of their spending money.  A little tip, even if you use the balance on your gift cards do not immediately throw them away.  Occasionally I will need to return a purchase or make a change in my reservation, the money will go back to the gift card you used at the time of purchase.  Hang on to it just in case!

I hope this helps, Andrea and please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Have a "spooktacular" vacation!
