Hi, you guys are awesome and have great info. I was wondering if there are rooms that can be booked with a door between them, instead of booking one room for 6, two rooms for 3 and open them up to each other? Is there additional charges for these rooms?

    Stacey:

What you're looking for are "connecting" rooms, and yes, Disney has them at most of their resorts.

There is no additional charge for the rooms, but be aware that Disney says they cannot guarantee them. Additionally, make sure that you specifically put a room request on your reservation that says you wish to have "connecting" rooms. (I learned this the hard way when I mistakenly asked for "adjoining" rooms on a vacation with grandparents. At check-in I found out that "adjoining" only meant rooms next door to each other. By that point, they couldn't find two connecting rooms for our party.)

HINT: If it's a deal-breaker, make sure that you book your room far in advance, as reservation requests are granted on a first-come basis, and reservations made months in advance vs. ones made closer in get priority.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
