Hi guru moms - I need help! my daughter will be turning 12 when we are at disney. can you recommend a salon for us girls to visit to get our nails done or something girly like that?

    Hi Dawn!

My daughter is 13 and we're always looking for girly things to do at Walt Disney World!  Our favorite is going to Disney's Grand Floridian's Spa to get manicures and pedicures.  We have sooo much fun while we're there...they treat you like you are the most special Guest they've ever had enter their doors.  You are pampered like the princesses you are!  Here is some information on what they offer and how to book your appointments.

When we're done with that, we head over to the Garden View Tea Room also located at The Grand Floridian Resort.  We have our own (very lady-like) grown up tea with scones and finger sandwiches and have some really great conversations together.  You need to book this in advance by calling (407)WDW-DINE.  You can also book online.  Here's more information on this gorgeous tea room.

Of course, a little shopping rounds out the day...and you can either stay at The Grand Floridian (they have some fabulous shops) or head over to Downtown Disney for a serious selection of goodies.

I know that my daughter and I have made incredible memories together at The Grand Floridian...in fact, we're booked for next month!  I hope you enjoy these suggestions!

Have a wonderful time with your princess!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
