From the guide books I have been reading it seems that MK is more geared towards YOUNGER kids like pre-schoolers. Is this true? There doesn't seem to be a lot of rides/attractions for tween age kids.

    Hi Peggy!

While the Magic Kingdom is great for pre-schoolers, I would not say it's only for them.  The Magic Kingdom is my favorite park and I'm way beyond the pre-school years!

Seriously, the Magic Kingdom has great attractions for tweens and teenagers.  It is the crown jewel of the Walt Disney World Resort.  My oldest son is 11 years old and he always has a great time in the Magic Kingdom.  His favorite attractions there are Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Splash Mountain.  He also enjoys the Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Monsters Inc Laugh Floor, and Mickey's PhilharMagic.

True, he's no longer a big fan of Dumbo, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, or other attractions like that.  However, he has a younger brother who loves those rides.  The secret is to sprinkle some of those "easier attractions" in between the harder ones!

Enjoy planning your vacation and write back if you have any more questions!
