In the guide book I have it says you need a credit card for various things such as booking your trip, making reservations, and hotel room expenses. This may seem like a silly question, but can I use my Visa DEBIT card for these things?

Hi Chris!  Not a silly question at all!  That's what us Moms are here for!

To answer your question, you can use your debit card at Walt Disney World the same way you would any credit card!, A debit card can definitely be used to pay for your vacation package, to secure dining reservations, and to pay for in-room charges you may incur as long as the card has a Visa / Mastercard symbol!

If you wish, you will also be able to "put down" your debit card at check-in which will allow you to add charging privileges to your "Key to the World Card", a convenient card that will serve as your park ticket, room key, and room charge if you wish!  This is a great benefit available to Walt Disney World Hotel guests, and it helps me to keep track of spending, by keeping all of my charges in one place!

Hope your visit to Walt Disney World is full of magic!  Please write back if I can be of further assistance!
