Any guidance on pros and cons of the Swan versus the Buena Vista Palace Hotel and Spa? Thanks!!!

    Hi once again Karla!
There are two key advantages that I see of staying at the Walt Disney Swan Resort;  both are important features for our family:

    1) Access to the 'Extra Magic Hours' at all four theme parks.  This is big for us.  If you check out this link, you will see all the details of how Extra Magic Hours work.  A valid theme park ticket and Resort I.D. must be shown to take advantage of these hours.  Sometimes a park is open an hour early or sometimes the parks will be open late.  To see when the Extra Magic Hours are while you are visiting, go to www.disneyworld.com (on the home page, click on  'Parks', then click the park you want to see.  On the left side of the page you will see a tab that will link you to the calendar). By using these extra hours, you can often beat the park crowds for popular attractions.  It can really add so much to your visit!

    2) Access to the Walt Disney World Transportation system.  As a Disney resort guest you will have access to all the monorails, boats and busses that form the intricate transportation system.  These are often an adventure in themselves.  My family and I have spent some lovely afternoons exploring different places within the resorts while enjoying a nice boat ride or a spin on the monorail.

Karla, enjoy your family time at Walt Disney World!

Walt Disney World stole my heart when my parents introduced me to the magic the year it opened. I fondly remember my first 'Mickey Mouse in a Glass House' balloon! I still visit with my parents-and now with my husband and our two teens. Learn More About Lynn
