Hey Howdy Hey Philicia and welcome to planDisney!
I am so excited to hear you are planning your vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort later this year. Here at planDisney, we can help answer all of your questions and give you some planning tips that may help guide you for the most Magical experience for your party. Thank you for stopping by with your question about planning your day trip to Disney. Let's review some things on where to start and then set you up with your next steps.
It sounds like you already have a place to stay offsite from Disney, so the only thing you would need to purchase in advance is
Theme Park Tickets. The hard part would be choosing which park to visit as they are all so different and offer different experiences. You have 4 Theme Parks to choose from so let's review a bit of each to get you better prepared.
Magic Kingdom is always my top recommendation for day trips to Disney. This park is the quintessential Disney experience, Castle and all. This is the place where you will step into a world of wonder and fantasy for kids and kids at heart. There are so many attractions, different lands to experience and food to eat you will have the best "Disney" experience here, in my opinion.
EPOCT is the park with a more contemporary park experience. Although this park has many attractions, I feel it is better enjoyed at a slower pace. There are many places throughout the park to sit and enjoy each other's company as well as some tasty treats from nearby snack locations. These locations are way more plentiful during various festivals throughout the year, so make sure to check out the
Disney Parks Blog for updates on the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival which last year started in July. This park is a relaxing way to enjoy several attractions and casually make your way around the World Showcase sampling food and drinks as you go.
Disney's Hollywood Studios allows you to step on stage for your shot at the big screen! This park is a nod to past times of the Hollywood movie production with some new touches. Although there are many reasons to visit this park,
Star Wars: Galaxies Edge is the big draw. Stepping off Earth and into Batuu to experience a land far, far away is an experience that cannot be put into words. While this park does have more thrilling attractions, there are several lands you will want to take your time to really enjoy.
Disney's Animal Kingdom rounds out your 4 options. This park is pure beauty. There are so many unique areas to visit all themed to the continent they represent with attractions to match. The attractions are great but just sitting and enjoying the environment is a phenomenal way to spend some time.
Pandora - the World of Avatar is here and seeing the floating mountains for the first time is breathtaking!
There you have it Philicia, a rundown of the 4 parks with reasons to visit each. The hard part is deciding which one is right for you! Ticket pricing is date-based, so the price for each park varies as well as the price per day. So check out the pricing online before you make your purchase and please feel free to stop back if you have any further questions.
Have a Magical day,
Nick
