Hi there, Ellen!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It's nice to connect with other parents with experiences similar to my own. I too am a parent of children on the autism spectrum. One child, in particular, had challenges with waiting in attraction lines. I am so grateful for the patient Disneyland Resort Cast Members and terrific programs for
guests with disabilities, including for
guests with cognitive disabilities, at the Disney Parks. They really help families like ours to have such magical vacation experiences.
After consulting with a Cast Member at one of the
main Guest Relations locations near the entrance of each park, guests who qualify for the
Disability Access Service may proceed to select Guest Relations locations throughout the park to set up return times for attractions. To set up a return time for the exciting
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction, meet with a Cast Member at the Guest Relations location immediately outside the entrance to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. This is currently the
only Guest Relations location that is set up to support Galaxy's Edge attractions. The kiosk will be located beneath a large umbrella. It's a portable station. So be aware that it may be relocated to one of the three entrances to the land to better accommodate varying guest demand. Though it will most likely be located at the Galaxy's Edge entrance from Frontierland. When your return time comes, a Cast Member at the entrance to the attraction will direct you to the appropriate queue.
While you are in the Black Spire Outpost, I recommend exploring the area through the
Play Disney Parks mobile app. You'll have a great time translating Aurebesh, intercepting transmissions, and supporting your preferred cause: the First Order, the Rebellion, or maybe even your own path. If you need a nice, quiet place to relax for a while, the western end of the land, near where the Rebels have hidden their secret base, is a wonderful place to sit or stroll around.
While a visit to Batuu certainly will be a highlight of your visit, you'll also find so many other wonderful experiences at the Disneyland Resort. I'm so happy that
Mickey's PhilharMagic has made its way to Disney California Adventure Park. I can't wait for the opening of
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, coming this Summer. And I also enjoy taking pictures in front of the newly-refurbished and stunning
Sleeping Beauty Castle.
I hope you and your son have a magical time, Ellen. May the Force be with you!
