Can guests of any wdw resort attend the campfire and movie at Ft. Wilderness? Is it free? Have any of you attended, and do you have any details you can share?

    Hi Carla,

This is one of the things that hasn't changed in all the years I have been visiting Walt Disney World.  I remember going to "Chip'n Dale's Campfire and Sing-a-long" at Fort Wilderness when I was a little girl (many..many years ago now!), and now I get to enjoy this with my daughter (who has already been to this campfire about 10 times since she was about 3 years old!).

This is free, there is only a charge for roasting sticks, marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate if you would like to make "schmores"(or there is a very reasonably priced package which includes all of these items in one nice little pack).  I normally bring my own marshmallows and hot dogs with buns, then find a couple of sticks lying around and we are good to go!  You could also walk across the neighboring bridge which leads to the famous trading post where you will be able to purchase all of these items as well as other basic grocery needs (they are a little pricey though), but good for a quick fix!

On to the movie...after everyone has seen Chip and Dale (those cute little chipmunks!), had their bonfire with all the fixin's of roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, etc..and a sing-a-long in true country spirit then it is on with the show!  Every night there is a different movie playing and last time we thoroughly enjoyed watching Peter Pan (and my favorite...Tinkerbell) as well as Cars.  This is one of my all-time favorite things to do at WDW and you can certainly hop over there to enjoy this fun night...you do not have to be a guest at Fort Wilderness Campground to have fun at this event.

I hope you have a grand time and say hi! to Chip and Dale for me.

    Best wishes,
    Brigitta
