Will guests visiting the park be able to enter the park early and do the rope drop to get to maximize their morning going on rides with the half marathon going on?

    Hi there, Artina!

Welcome to planDisney! As you know, there are many exciting events happening at Disneyland Resort with the return of the runDisney races this weekend. I am running in my first runDisney event there, and I can't wait!

You are correct that the Disneyland Half Marathon is taking place on January 14, 2024. Fortunately, the Half Marathon is scheduled to begin early in the morning, which should limit any impacts to other Guests. I checked the Hours & Events Calendar for this day. Early Entry Admission is currently available for Disneyland Resort hotel Guests with valid theme park tickets and park reservations at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. As of today, Early Entry is scheduled to take place from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM. Guests not staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel can enter the theme parks at 9:00 AM.

When rope dropping, I suggest arriving at Disneyland Resort at least 30-45 minutes before the park opens (or before Early Entry begins). This will help you get closer to the front of the line and be one of the first to ride a favorite attraction.

Artina, thanks again for visiting us at planDisney! I hope you have a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
