Can guests visit WDW resort hotels?

Hi Margaret! Each of the Walt Disney World Resorts are unique in their own way and certainly worth a visit during your vacation stay.

Each resort will have a guard at the car entrance. If you are already staying at another Disney resort simply have them scan your Magic Band. Sometimes they will also ask for your photo ID if the scanner is not working so be sure to always have that. If you are not a resort guest then let them know you are coming to visit the resort to see the amenities etc and show them your photo ID.

Some resorts will be closed to outside car parking during certain times. The Yacht, Beach Club, and Boardwalk resorts get many guests who try to park there and walk to Epcot especially during Flower and Garden and Food and Wine Festivals. They cannot allow this due to their own guests needing parking. The Contemporary. Grand Floridian, and Polynesian resorts have the same issue with guests wishing to go to the Magic Kingdom so they often have closed parking as well. But for these resorts simply hop on their bus from any of the theme parks and get to them that way.

And don't forget the Value Resorts when making your visits. These resorts have awesome larger then life Disney decorations that will make any vacation there magical.
