Are guests still trading with the Jawas?

Hello Nancy and thanks for bringing such a fun question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
As a huge Star Wars fan myself I just love experiencing Star Wars at Walt Disney World Resort and I'm super excited to see what the new Star Wars-Themed Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios is going to look like!  You can check out the progress for yourself in this recent Disney Parks Blog article.
One of the fun and sometimes lesser known experiences inside the Star Wars Launch Bay area is to meet a Jawa.
By nature Jawas are inquisitive scavengers and I've usually found them happy to stop and have their picture taken, but be watchful as Jawas may take a particular liking to shiny objects and will sometimes offer to trade for small trinkets or stickers.
My top tip for the opportunity to trade with a Jawa is to have ready a small, inexpensive and perhaps shiny item in your pocket which may tempt them to trade with you. However, it goes without saying that there's no galactic guarantee that the Jawas will be in the mood for trading on any particular day.
Good luck and may the Force be with you.
