    "Guests staying at the Contemporary will begin going through security at the resorts’ monorail stations." Does that mean there will be bag check at our resort & we don't have to go thru security at MK or Epcot itself?

    Hi Kristen!

    Although I have not experienced the new security procedures yet I am sure this will help with the long lines guests found at the Magic Kingdom Theme Park. Disney now has in place some of the security machines and security personnel at the three monorail resorts and the Transportation and Ticket Center. You will actually pass through security here before boarding the park monorail and you will not have to again go through the long lines once you reach the park.

    The goal is to have everyone going through security at your resort if you are coming by boat, monorail, or bus but not sure when the complete plan will be in place. The monorail stations have definitely started. Right now this new procedure is for the Magic Kingdom only but if successful might continue to all parks. The Magic Kingdom is the most visited amusement park in the world so the lines and crowds there are always the largest.

    I believe guests will find these new changes will help their park experience by saving them more time to enjoy the attractions!
