My guests, son and his family, do not have passports and don't want to spend the money to get them. Will they be able to participate in offshore activities in Nassau without them?

    Ahoy, Debra!

It sounds like your high seas adventure is just around the corner. How exciting! I can only imagine the buzz of anticipation at your home as you get ready to set sail.

For Disney cruises to the Bahamas, U.S. citizens are not currently required to have a passport. Instead, adult guests may sail with a government-issued photo ID and a copy of their birth certificate. With these in hand, your crewmates will be able to disembark in Nassau and explore the island’s treasures. The same holds true for Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s private slice of Bahamian paradise.

Fun fact: Castaway Cay was once a stop for real pirates! Long before Disney transformed it into a tropical haven, the island, then known as Gorda Cay, was rumored to be a hideout for smugglers and pirates. Today, it’s a haven for treasure hunters of the lounge chair and ice cream variety.

So pack your sea legs and get ready for a voyage filled with sunshine, magic, and a touch of ocean breeze!
