Hey there, Steve! Welcome to planDisney! You brought a great planning question to us!
The Walt Disney World Resort allows Guests staying at a Disney Resort Hotel to make reservations 60 days prior to their vacation arrival date. Guests not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel can make their reservations 60 days prior to the date they wish to reserve. The 60 days prior to the vacation arrival date perk gives Guests staying at a Disney Resort Hotel the benefit of making reservations for up to 10 days of their vacation! That’s a nice jump over Guests not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel!
There was a time, prior to the pandemic, during which a Guest could make reservations 180 days prior to their vacation arrival date. However, at the present time, there are no plans to change the reservation timeframe from 60 days. If a change is ever made, it would most likely be announced on the
Disney Parks Blog, as well as on the Walt Disney World Resort website.
For now, Steve, keep marking that magical 60-day mark on your planning calendar! It works for reservations such as
Disney Dining and select options from the
Enchanting Extras Collection!
Happy Planning!
