Hiya, pal! It looks like your cruise is coming up next week, so I’m glad you sailed by planDisney with your question ahead of time.
One of the delights of sailing with Disney Cruise Line is the top-notch service you receive from every Cast Member. They truly become like family by the end of the trip! Whether it’s the serving team or entertainment crew, everyone is so friendly and does their best to not only get to know you, but also your likes and desires for your time onboard.
With that in mind, Guests are kindly requested not to set up the pull-down beds in the
staterooms, but rather allow your Stateroom Host or Hostess to handle that for you. You can typically access your stateroom by 1:30 PM on embarkation day and while you are getting settled, your Host will likely stop by to introduce themselves. That would be the perfect opportunity to communicate any special requests or talk to them about your needs surrounding the upper berth.
Depending on who you’re traveling with and how many are in your sailing party, you may or may not have need for the upper berth to be pulled down. Perhaps you have a child who wants to try it one night and not another. There could also be an instance where you want it left down for a nap during the day instead of being tucked away into the ceiling. Whatever the case, simply communicate with your Stateroom Host and they will do their best to make sure your wish is granted.
This is just one of the many ways your Stateroom Host will
take care of you throughout your sailing. I don’t want to give too much away, but I especially enjoy coming home to find different towel animals on our bed and a chocolate on my pillow after dinner each night. They were even able to assist me when my pen ran out of ink and I couldn’t find a postcard in the desk drawer. Truly, they are like having your own personal Fairy Godmother!
If you think of any other questions before your next adventure, feel free to sail back to us here at
planDisney and we’ll be happy to help!
Bon voyage,
Sami
