Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michael!
Thank you for sending us your excellent question about commemorating your visit to Walt Disney World Resort. I regret to inform you that Guests can no longer purchase into the “Walk Around the World” program. This program which ended in the year 2000 allowed Guests to purchase personalized, hexagon-shaped brick pavers to be placed in one of five areas surrounding
Magic Kingdom Park.
Leave a Legacy was a special program where Guests’ likenesses were etched on steel tiles as a commemoration of their visits to Epcot! Unfortunately, the Leave a Legacy program at Epcot was also discontinued. It was discontinued in June 2007, but more than 550,000 tiles remain for you to view and enjoy!
Michael, there are still many other ways of commemorating your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks. I enjoy commemorating my visits by purchasing silhouette portraits of my family. These portraits are affordable and can be made in all four theme parks, many
Disney Resort hotels and at
Disney Springs. They allow me to see my family grow and change throughout the years. It is a truly special, and unique, souvenir! You can also commemorate your visit with Disney Character autograph books or by purchasing personalized Mickey ear hats. The possibilities are endless!
If you have any additional questions before, during or after your vacation, please visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel again. We are all EARS!
