How are guests organized to leave the ship in a port of call? Is there a queue? Lower decks first? Port Adventures first? If we have an appointment early in the morning (not a Port Adventure), and want to be one of the first to leave, what should we do?

    Ahoy again Keffel –
Let us continue with our discussion on excursions and how guests exit the ship at a port of call. In general, there will be 2 different ways to leave the ship: on your own or with a Disney Port Adventure. Guests who have signed up for Disney Port Adventures would have received tickets with information on meeting times and locations at the start of their cruise. Port Adventure guests will check-in at these locations on the ship, meet up with their guides, and then are led outside of the ship by queue to their destination. Guests planning to leave the ship on their own simply need to proceed to the designated gangway (check your Personal Navigator while onboard), pass through security, and they are off! Make sure to bring photo identification and your Key to the World Card in order to leave the ship. There is no assigned time to leave the ship when exploring on your own. Depending on the timing and the plans of other guests, there may be a small queue or delay when debarking the ship; so if you want to get off early, then I suggest your family be the first ones at the gate. Keffel, thanks for dropping by with your questions at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
