Oh wow, Cynthia, it's so wonderful to have you stop by and visit with planDisney!
The holiday season at Walt Disney World is the most magical, and seeing all the decorations that guests have created at the Campgrounds is truly a sight to see.
Guests who aren’t staying at a Disney resort can still visit
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort during the Christmas season to see all the amazing campsite decorations. The campers there go all out. People bring lights, inflatables, and huge displays, and it really turns into a holiday wonderland. The one thing to know is that parking at the campgrounds is very limited and is reserved for registered guests, so you won’t be able to just drive in and park.
Instead, the easiest way to visit is by taking Disney transportation. A lot of people will park at
Disney Springs and then take a bus to Fort Wilderness. If you'd like to add a little extra holiday cheer to your visit, take the bus from Disney Springs to
Disney's Contemporary Resort and then hop on a boat. The boat ride itself adds to the fun, and once you’re there, you can walk around or even rent a golf cart or bike to see more of the decorated loops. It’s a really special holiday experience, and worth the trip if you’re visiting Disney around Christmastime!
Stop by and see us again, Cynthia! We'll be more than happy to help you.
Toodles,
Korliss
