Are guests 14 and up still not allowed to wear Jedi/Sith robes in the park?

Hello, hello there, Lauren! Welcome to planDisney, where we love helping our fellow Disney loving Guests plan Disney vacations that are practically perfect in every way. Thank you for your question!

According to the Disneyland Resort Park Rules and Regulations, costumes may not be worn in the Theme Parks by Guests ages 14 or older. Aside from this, there is also another rule which states that clothing that drags on the ground is prohibited in the Theme Parks as well. Even though the words Jedi, Sith, and robes aren't mentioned in these rules, I would play it safe and avoid wearing anything costume-like to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

However, please don't let this stop you from wearing something special during your days at the Theme Parks! I don't know if you've heard this term before, but there's something known as "DisneyBounding". What DisneyBounding seeks to achieve is for you to look a whole lot like your favorite Disney characters, but without breaking any rules! Essentially, you could aim to reinvigorate your favorite characters' iconic looks by recreating their hairstyles and wearing color-blocked clothing, accessories, and shoes. If you'd like to copy the Jedi look, for example, you could go for a pair of khaki pants, a light brown t-shirt, a bulky black belt, and your very own lightsaber!

Lauren, please don't hesitate to come back with any other questions you might have about planning a Disney vacation. I'm sure your vacation outfits are going to be out of this world!

May the Force be with you,
