Do all guests need to have a fastpass if we are also using the rider switch for an attraction? In other words if group 1 has a fastpass does group 2 also need to already have a fastpass in the rider switch scenario? Thanks!

    Hi Stephanie!

Rider Switch is one of my favorite tools to use during a Walt Disney World Resort vacation when I'm traveling with my little ones! My oldest son is tall enough to ride all of the attractions, but my little guy still isn't quite tall enough for everything. So Rider Switch allows everyone in my family to enjoy the attractions on our "must-do" lists and no one has to wait in queues for attractions that they don't plan on enjoying!

Recently, the Rider Switch program was updated to a digital program, where your Rider Switch entitlement will be loaded into your My Disney Experience account, allowing you to access it with your admission card or MagicBand. To use Rider Switch, your entire group will go to the Cast Member at the attraction entrance to set up your Rider Switch entitlement. If you will be using FastPass+ reservations in conjunction with Rider Switch, Cast Members may check to ensure every Guest who will be enjoying the attraction has a FastPass+ reservation before issuing Rider Switch entitlements. So in order to ensure you have the smoothest experience possible, you will need to make FastPass+ reservations for everyone who will be riding in both groups one and two.

Be sure to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog as you continue planning your trip for the latest updates and announcements about your upcoming vacation! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
