Can guests leave Mickey's not so scary Halloween party to go back to their hotel for a rest or go out to eat and come back into the party?

    Hi Kwanita, welcome to planDisney!

My social media feed is full of frightfully fun images from the first Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party of the year, which took place on August 11 at Magic Kingdom Park. The Disney Parks Blog shows which new and fan-favorite Magic Shots are available this year, as well as their locations. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then a Headless Horseman Magic Shot must be worth a million scares!

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a special event, requiring a special event ticket to attend. The party officially begins at 7:00 p.m. and goes until 12:00 a.m., though Guests with a party ticket may enter Magic Kingdom Park as early as 4:00 p.m. No additional theme park reservation is required, though you'll need a method of entry (Disney Band, Disney MagicMobile pass, or admission card) to tap in at theme park entry and receive your party wristband. Guests with general admission tickets and plans to visit Magic Kingdom Park earlier in the day can pick up party wristbands at Fantasy Faire in Fantasyland, Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland, and Tortuga Tavern in Adventureland.

Guests are welcome to come and go as they please from Magic Kingdom Park during Mickey's No-So-Scary Halloween Party. Speaking from personal experience, those 5+ party hours fly by and I recommend spending as much time as possible in Magic Kingdom Park. My entire family signed a nap agreement last year, which ensured we didn't turn into proverbial pumpkins before midnight. For my October party date this year, I plan to enjoy a pre-party meal at nearby Steakhouse 71 so I don't spend precious party hours sitting instead of doing.

One of my favorite parts of Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is Mickey's "Boo-To-You" Halloween Parade. My favorite part of my favorite part is the gravediggers. Sparks literally fly as they pass by! For the best parade experience, I recommend catching the 11:15 p.m. parade by the Frontierland Shootin' Arcade.

Of all the ways to celebrate fall at Walt Disney World Resort, Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is my favorite because it showcases creative costumes, dazzling décor, and eerie entertainment. Enjoy soaking up every possible minute of this seasonal celebration, Kwanita. Hurry back to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
