Can I have a guest visit while I am staying at a Disney resort?

Hey there, Elizabeth, and welcome to planDisney! It’s always a special moment when you can spend time at the place you love with people that you love! Walt Disney World is the perfect place to reconnect and recharge the relationships around us! My family and I have friends who live locally in Central Florida, and we love inviting them over to our Disney Resort to spend some time catching up.

Elizabeth, you are free to have a Guest visit you while you are staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel during your vacation. Resort Guests and Visitors are required to check in at the Resort Security Station with the Cast Member each time they arrive. The security Cast Member will typically ask to see your confirmation information or other information to ensure that you have a valid reason to gain access to the resort. To expedite this process for your visitor, I recommend sending your ride a text with the address of the resort and maybe a quick note of where you’ll be located for the meetup. This helps evidence to the Security Cast Member that they have a valid reason for gaining access to the resort!

I also recommend hosting your visitor over a dinner reservation! Disney has some pretty amazing restaurants and what better way to connect than while eating?! You and your guest can head over to Disney Springs and take in all the sights and sounds of one of my favorite places inside the Walt Disney World “bubble.” I recommend Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' with a second dessert from Gideon’s Bakehouse! Yes, I said second dessert.

    I hope this helps, Elizabeth!

    Until Next Time,
