Is Guest services open during early entry hours? I have to apply for a DAS pass for my son and was hoping to get it done as early as possible. I know that the DAS selections themselves are only during normal park hours.

Hi there, Rocky, and welcome back to planDisney!

It’s almost time for your most magical vacation to begin! If you haven’t begun the countdown to your trip, I’m over here getting the party started for you. You’re officially in your 60-day window to create advance dining reservations for your must-do restaurants, and very soon, you’ll be able to begin the pre-registration process for the Disability Access Service (DAS).

With DAS, you’re able to bypass the longer standby queues for attractions at Walt Disney World Resort. You’ll use the speedier Lightning Lane instead. If your son has trouble waiting in longer queues due to certain conditions, he may qualify for this service. Keep in mind that if he has trouble standing in queues and needs a wheelchair or scooter, then he may not qualify for DAS, and you all should look into Services for Guests with Mobility Disabilities

There are two ways to register for DAS:

-Before your vacation even begins, you can take advantage of registering via the DAS Advance online video chat on the Walt Disney World Resort website. A Cast Member can determine your son’s eligibility online between 2 and 30 days before your arrival day. If approved, a Cast Member will ask you for attraction preferences and will pre-select two Lightning Lane return times for your party.

-If you’d rather wait until you’re on property, you can visit Guest Services on your first theme park visit. I confirmed with a friendly Cast Member that Guest Services is open during Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resort hotel Guests. This is great news because this will help you maximize your time at the theme park. There, they will determine your son’s eligibility and create one Lightning Lane return time for your party.

AN EXTRA GEM: You can make your own Lightning Lane selections in the My Disney Experience App after you have used your initial selection that the Cast Member created for you. You can do this under the main menu in your app using the DAS Self-Selection Tool.

I hope that you found this information helpful, Rocky. Please give us a holler here at planDisney if you have any other questions as you gear up for your family’s big adventure. See ya’ real soon!

    Magic always,
