Can a guest at the Polynesian Tower use the main resort pool and play area? Also how far is the walk from the tower to the Grand Ceremonial Hall and the TTC? Thank you.

Aloha, Margaret! Welcome to planDisney - we're so glad you're here. It's always the best day ever when I get to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, and I'm happy to help with your question today.

I've been excitedly watching the progress of the new Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, which opened just last week! The Polynesian is our family's Home Resort, and this stunning addition to Seven Seas Lagoon adds variety to the accommodations available at the resort. Island Tower is inspired by Polynesian culture and features beautiful design elements that evoke the islands - we're looking forward to staying there ourselves!

Guests at Island Tower may enjoy the feature pool at the "original" Polynesian. It's also convenient to pick up a DOLE Whip from Pineapple Lanai! Be sure to have your MagicBand+ with you to access the pool area. You'll, of course, also be able to enjoy the new pool and Moana-themed splash area at the Tower itself. Island Tower also has a fitness center, which is great news as the resort shared facilities with Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for many years.

Margaret, the Tower is quite close to the main buildings. The walk from Island Tower to the Great Ceremonial House will take less than 10 minutes (depending on your walking speed, of course!), and you'll be able to reach the Transportation and Ticket Center in about 12 minutes to hop on the Monorail or water transportation. In the opposite direction, it's an easy walk to the Grand Floridian - you can even walk all the way to Magic Kingdom Park if you pick up the walking path there!

I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes, and that your family enjoys a magical stay at Island Tower in 2025! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and please come back and see us again anytime if we can help with other tips for a practically perfect vacation.

    Stay Magical!
