Do you have to be a guest of the Grand Californian to eat there? I am staying at the Paradise Pier hotel the night before I plan to visit Disneyland.

Hello there Suzanne, and welcome to planDisney!  How exciting that you'll be visiting the "Happiest Place on Earth" here soon!

Great news Suzanne, you do not need to be a guest of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa to enjoy their wonderful dining options!  You can make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance if you're planning in experiencing a Table Service meal.

My family loves the Mickey's Tales of Adventure Breakfast Buffet located at Storytellers Café, and you can meet some of your favorite Disney pals during breakfast and brunch!  You can also still enjoy their delicious dinner menu, but I do want to offer a heads up that the characters won't appear there during dinner.  My kids love the Mickey Waffles, and I always head right to the Make-Your-Own Omelet station.  We also love to wave our napkins around as the characters parade by to "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah!"

If you're looking for a quicker option, one of the hidden gems at the Disneyland Resort is the GCH Craftsman Grill.  We've stopped by here for a quick breakfast as we head into Disney California Adventure Park, and we've utilized the mobile ordering feature in the Disneyland app to order lunch or a quick dinner.  My favorite dish by far is the Baked Nachos, they hit the spot every time and are big enough to share!

I hope this is helpful for your trip planning Suzanne, sounds like you have a great trip ahead of you.  Please do not hesitate to come back to planDisney and ask me any other questions for your trip!

    Have a magical day!
