Kayla, if your MagicBand is currently linked to an account managed by your mom, she can help you take ownership of your account and transfer your MagicBand to your new account through the
My Disney Experience mobile app! I actually did this process with my two daughters this past year so they could take ownership of their MagicBands and access all of our plans and vacation photos on their own! Here's the step-by-step guide:
- On your mom's My Disney Experience mobile app, have her tap the three horizontal lines at the bottom right of the screen, then select Profile - Family & Friends List - and have her find your managed account.
- Next, she should select Send Email and enter the email associated with your new My Disney Experience account. When you accept this planning invitation, any plans your mom has made for you and any MagicBands associated with your managed profile will be transferred to your new profile.
- You will need to go into your My Disney Experience account and accept the invitation to finalize the process!
- You're all set to embrace the magic!
