If a guest bought a Magic Kingdom ticket for one day - dec31- and the park hit the maximum capacity, the guest can't get in even with a single day ticket?

Hello, Rubens. Thanks for reaching out to us.

New Year's Eve is often an exciting night to be in one of the theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort. While specific activities haven't yet been announced for this year, usually EPCOT, Magic Kingdom Park, and Disney's Hollywood Studios have some DJ dance parties. In the past, Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT have had specialty fireworks, and you can usually catch Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during the day at Magic Kingdom Park. Plus, there's just the joyous, magical ambiance of the Most Magical Place on Earth to kick off a brand new year! It doesn't really get any better than that!

It is pretty rare for the theme parks at the Walt Disney World Resort to close due to capacity, but it does happen, especially on December 31st...and especially at Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. As such, if you're planning on being in a theme park on New Year's Eve, you should arrive at the parks early and not leave until you are ready to leave for the day. If the park closes due to capacity restrictions, you will not be able to come back into the park unless the restrictions are lifted (because enough people have exited the park), regardless of ticket type.

Sometimes, there are events at the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels on New Year's Eve as well. So, if you're staying at one of them, be sure to check to see what might be offered at your very own hotel! Sometimes, some restaurants will offer specialty packages, too, so be on the lookout and stay tuned to Disney Parks Blog for any announcements!

Rubens, I hope your holiday visit is a fantastic one. If you have any other questions, just let me know!

Someday, your rainbow will come smiling through,
    Matt
