Hi Catherine,
Welcome to planDisney!
Looking at your arrival date, I see that your countdown to the Walt Disney World® Resort has begun! Congratulations to you for snagging an advanced dining reservation at
Be Our Guest restaurant. With a dining reservation at 6:10 p.m., your time will be tight to find a good viewing spot for the
Happily Ever After fireworks, but it may be possible. When we have dined at Be Our Guest, it has taken an hour and a half to two hours, depending on the size of our party. Since I recommend that you have your viewing spot secured no later than one hour prior to the show, my first suggestion would be to keep an eye on reservations and see if an earlier time opens up. Currently, as you indicated, the fireworks are scheduled to begin at 8:30 p.m.
If you cannot change that dining time, I suggest that you arrive at least 15 minutes early for your reservation. Use the check-in feature via the
My Disney Experience Mobile App if it is available. As soon as you are seated, be prepared to place your entire order as soon as the cast member comes to your table to take your drink order. We always
view the menu prior to arrival so that everyone knows what they will order before we get to the restaurant. The last time we were in a similar situation, trying to get to see the fireworks, we actually took our desserts to go.
I also need to add that we are very particular about our viewing spot for the Happily Ever After fireworks. We prefer to be right in front of Cinderella Castle, slightly to the left if you are facing the castle. From our spot, there is typically nobody in front of us except for the cast members who are keeping the pathway around the castle clear. So, I suggest that you know where you want to stand so that you can directly head to that spot after dinner.
Catherine, I hope you are able to modify that dining reservation to an earlier time. My biggest concern is that you might get seated after your reservation time and you truly do not have any time to lose. On a few occasions, we have been seated later even though we arrived early because the restaurant was incredibly busy. The cast members were wonderful in trying to expedite our meal service but I hated rushing through it. Sending a wish to the Evening Star trusting that you will have a wonderful dinner and see those amazing fireworks!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
