guest assistance card- I can't find anything about it on any Disney site. Do I need my kids Dr. to sign something before we go? If I get this card for my kids, will it restrict what rides they can ride? or is that still up to me? How exactly does it work?

    Hi Carey!

The Guest Assistance Card (GAC) is available at Guest Services at any of the Theme Parks.  You'll need to go and ask for one, and the Cast Member might ask some questions about what accommodations your child needs to have a more enjoyable experience.  It is helpful if when you request the card, you tell them what accommodations will help your child.  The Cast Member will then fill out the card making it valid for your stay.

I've NEVER been asked to provide documentation, but I've ALWAYS brought it with me (just in case).  We have a simple note signed by our Occupational Therapist that describes accommodations that would benefit our son.

The GAC doesn't always shorten your wait.  Sometimes you will wait longer, just in a different area.  Other conditions warrant different accommodations and are handled on a case-by-case basis.

You will still be able to choose what you children ride, the GAC with not restrict them from experiencing a certain attraction unless they are physically unable.

    Have a magical vacation!
