I 2nd guess myself constantly-want fun, relaxing vacation for kids (7 & 3)... booked GF & leaving in 2 wks. Heard a lot about pool at BC and worried pool experience at GF will be disappointing for kids. Can they play in sand? How is pool at GF for k

    Hi Denise,

You must be so excited for your upcoming vacation!  The Grand Floridian is a beautiful resort!

Our family loves staying at the Beach Club.  The location is great and the pool is really a mini-water park.  However, I don't think your children will be disappointed with the pool at the Grand Floridian.  The Beach Pool includes a rock waterfall and waterslide.  It also has zero-depth entry which will be great for your youngest.

While swimming in Seven Seas Lagoon is not permitted, sunbathing on the Grand Floridian Beach is!  Your children will be able to build sand castles and play by the shore.  At night you can watch the Electrical Water Pageant and view Wishes (the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom) while sitting on the beach.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
