Are you guaranteed a FP with one of the new Pandora rides with the tier system at AK? We are staying off site with a large group and 2 grandparents who cannot stand in long lines (ECV). Thanks for your help.

    Hi Christine!

I never like to use the word "guarantee" as that is a hard word to sometimes live up to. Walt Disney World will certainly try their hardest for everything and everyone when it comes to making magic and happiness but it is certainly not a guarantee!

Both of the two new Pandora-the World of Avatar attractions are now listed in Tier 1 for the Animal Kingdom Park. That means you can only choose one for your day in the park. The Flight of Passage and Na'vi River ride are great with the Flight of Passage being a bit more of a thrill ride and the Na'vi River ride far more relaxed and open to all ages and abilities.

I strongly recommend you get on line to get the FastPasses for these two attractions as soon as you are able to. Being so new they are very popular and the FastPasses run out quickly.

Since you are traveling with a large group I suggest you have everyone decide which attraction they would like to experience since you cannot choose them both. The Flight of Passage is not a roller coaster but it is a virtual reality experience and it can make some guests feel nauseous and off balance. If I was traveling with older family members I would be encouraging them to enjoy the Na'vi River Ride. You can certainly try to get everyone set with a FastPass for either of the two attractions at the same time so you are still able to stay together in the park.

I would also encourage lunch at Satu'li Canteen. I am especially fond of the cheeseburger pods and blueberry cheesecake! But they have many great and different choices for everyone to try. It is a Quick Service restaurant so no reservations are accepted there. To avoid the largest crowds try to arrive before 11am or after 1pm.

    Have a great day!
