Salutations, Christine! Welcome to planDisney!
Happy New Year a few months early! Before you can say bibbidi bobbidi boo, the countdown to midnight will be here, and I love that you're getting your Holiday
celebration plans in place ahead of time.
I rang in the New Year at Disneyland Resort one year, and it was the most lively, fireworks-filled, electric, and fun New Year's celebration I have ever experienced. It also brought the biggest theme park crowds I have ever seen, which meant a little extra planning and patience went a long way.
While a
Walt Disney World theme park ticket does not guarantee entry, I do have a few tips to help you prepare for the big night.
My biggest piece of advice is to arrive early! Getting to the theme park well before the crowds build helps ensure you're among the first Guests through the gates. If you're planning to celebrate into the evening, I also recommend staying put once you're inside. If a park reaches capacity, Guests who leave may not be able to re-enter.
Staying at a
Disney Resort hotel can also be a helpful advantage. Resort Guests are typically given priority if phased closures begin, and you'll enjoy
Early Theme Park Entry, giving you a head start on your EPCOT day.
EPCOT is an excellent choice for New Year's Eve. It can accommodate more Guests than the other Walt Disney World theme parks and sometimes reaches capacity a bit later. That said, if your goal is to celebrate in style around World Showcase and welcome the new year with confidence, I'd plan to arrive early, enjoy the park throughout the day, and stay until the final notes of "Auld Lang Syne" drift through the night air.
Christine, I hope you have a fantastic visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth and the happiest New Year imaginable! May your plans come together as smoothly as Cinderella's carriage arriving before midnight. If you have any other questions, or if we can help with more planning along the way, please stop by again.
Cheers!
Kimberly
