Hi there, Kathryn!
It's always a pleasure to meet one of Mickey's Floridian neighbors. I'm so glad you stopped by planDisney!
It looks like one of your
great big beautiful tomorrows holds
a stay at a Disney Resort hotel. How exciting! Don't you just love hanging your mouse ears in the middle of the magic? Let's get right to your question so that the pixie-dusted packing can begin!
In browsing the reservation details of the Disney Resort hotel stays currently linked to my My Disney Experience account, I noticed that below the room type reserved and confirmation number, there is an area designated for 'details' that includes varying words, letters, and numbers before the phrase 'Room Only'. This leads me to believe that this is a code for internal use referring to the booking type, as 'Room Only' refers to a reservation that was not booked as part of a vacation package with theme park tickets. All of my reservations are booked this way because, as an Annual Passholder, I do not need to purchase theme park tickets for my stay. As a
Florida resident, this is likely the case for you as well. The beginning portion of this code most likely designates the type of room or offer booked and is used by Cast Members when assigning rooms.
Speaking of room assignments, don't forget to complete
Online Check-In before your arrival. Not only will this allow you to head straight to your room on check-in day, but you'll also be able to make certain room requests when completing the process. I just completed mine for an upcoming stay at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and I can't wait to see which building we'll be calling our magical home away from home!
I hope this clears things up, Kathryn, and that you're ready to dive into the magic! If any additional questions arise as you prepare for your upcoming visit, feel free to come see us again at
planDisney. You've got a friend in us!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
