We have a group of 11 of us going. Would the Genie plus be better suited for the the ones more likely to go on every ride? Was also wanting to know are they looking at doing reservations perminately at the park? We going in December 2025

    Hello there Trisha,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question, and I'm happy to hear that you're planning a trip to the Disneyland Resort next year. It's never to early to start planning - you're in good company here!

I am a huge proponent of Disney Genie+ Service, and I almost always recommend people add it on. In my experience, when visiting with a large group, there can be a lot of competing priorities and extra time discussing what to do next as a group. Therefore, I find Disney Genie+ Service to be a huge help in these scenarios because it allows you to book Lightning Lane return times together as a group to ensure you all have the same time slot and it will ultimately reduce your overall wait for attractions throughout your visit.

From trips I've taken with larger groups, this can help keep the group on track with a loose but flexible itinerary. Plus there are additional perks that come with this service as well like unlimited digital downloads of your Disney PhotoPass photos to commemorate your trip. Another convenient feature to consider adding to your theme park tickets would be the Park Hopper option!

As for theme park reservations, those are needed as of today when visiting the parks. There haven't been any announcements to the contrary, but - as always - these things are subject to change. My advice here would be to keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog over the next year to keep up-to-date on all the important news about the Disneyland Resort.

Thanks again for your question, Trisha! Make sure you come back and see us if you think of any follow-ups.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
