Hi Lisa!
You are so lucky! Momcations at Walt Disney World are THE BEST!
One of the best parts about a Moms Only vacation is the chance to stray off the beaten path and enjoy experiences that aren't quite as well-known or are difficult to work into a family trip. These include things like visiting Disney's Animal Kingdom, but then relaxing for a spell at the
Nomad Lounge. You can immerse yourself in the ambiance of the oasis, enjoy a light meal and a cocktail or mocktail while catching up with your friends. There's no need to rush to an attraction or worry about little ones. Simply sit back and enjoy some downtime. Another unique touch you can add to your Disney Animal Kingdom day is a specialty tour or event. Many times these types of tours are difficult to schedule or afford when trying to incorporate the whole family. This means you and your friends can try to add a special touch like the
Wild Africa Trek or
Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience. You'll have a unique adventure, great food, and an adult beverage all in one package!
Another great option is to spend a day resort hopping: shopping, dining, and exploring. You can easily fill a day touring resorts like Disney's Polynesian Resort. Here you'll find
Trader Sam's Grog Grotto. Hang out, enjoy a beverage or a snack, and watch the antics as they unfold! To top off your night, head over to Disney's Riviera Resort and
Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera. You can enjoy a delicious meal while taking in the sweeping rooftop views..
If you'd like a hands-on activity, then the
new art classes led by some of the most talented artists in Walt Disney World could be a fun change of pace. Choose from a variety of options including: Win, Paint, Show at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, Painting on de' Bayou at Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort, Canvas and Wine Glass Painting on the Boards at Disney's Boardwalk Inn, Wild About Painting at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge and Painting in the Vineyard at Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. For a hands-on experience that's a bit more delicious, try the
Cake Decorating Experience at Amorette's Patisserie at Disney Springs.
Last, but not least, it looks like your trip dates may overlap with the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. A little known fact is that this event also features a number of
special tours that are only offered this time of year. If you enjoy tea, there are two great options for tours in the World Showcase. The Royal Tea Garden Tour is a value-priced option that is a hidden gem. Not only will you tour the tea gardens, but you'll enter World Showcase at about 9:30 am, which is before it officially opens for the day. Enjoy a quiet stroll through the English tea garden and top it off with delicious scones.
I hope this gives you some great ideas for your trip!
Kathie
