Hi there, Cassidy! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
As the parent of a child with special needs, I really appreciate the services and accommodations that
Walt Disney World Resort offers for Guests with disabilities. When I visit the Walt Disney World theme parks with my son who has autism, we use
Disability Access Service (DAS). DAS is a service intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a traditional queue environment.
If you feel that a member of your party would benefit from DAS, you can speak with a Cast Member about DAS registration. If it is determined that DAS would be a good fit for their needs, the Cast Member will be happy to register them for this service. DAS registration can take place at
Guest Relations when you arrive at one of the Walt Disney World theme parks. If you would prefer to take care of registration prior to your arrival, you can visit this
Registering for DAS webpage to find a link to request a live DAS preregistration video chat. This video chat with a Cast Member must take place between 2-30 days before your theme park visit, and the person who the DAS pass is for must be present during the chat.
Only one DAS pass will be issued to each Guest with a disability. With a DAS pass, the Guest with a disability may be accompanied by up to five additional Guests when using a DAS return time to access an
attraction. If you have additional questions about your group of nine's specific needs, please feel free to reach out to a Disability Services Cast Member. Their contact information can be found on this
Services for Guests with Disabilities webpage.
Cassidy, if you have any other questions that my fellow panelists and I can help you with, please feel free to
visit planDisney again at any time. I hope you have a magical time visiting Walt Disney World Resort this
holiday season!
Samantha
