Hi there, Kendall, and welcome to planDisney!
I just love that you're planning a family vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! I always feel that The Most Magical Place on Earth is made a bit more magical when you're making lifelong memories with those you hold most dear. Although magical vacations were infrequent during my childhood, some of my most cherished memories are a result of the time my family spent together at Walt Disney World. Of course, just because you're on a family vacation doesn't mean you shouldn't take some time for yourself, so let's get right to your question!
As long as your theme park ticket has the
Park Hopper option, Kendall, you shouldn't have a problem starting your day in a different theme park than your family. If your ticket doesn't currently have Park Hopper but you'd like to add it, you can find the upgrade process helpfully outlined
here. With the Park Hopper option, you'd actually be able to visit as many theme parks as you wish (pending capacity) before heading to meet your family in Disney's Hollywood Studios. Just keep in mind that if your theme park ticket requires a theme park reservation (you can find the list of ticket types that do
here), then you will need to make a reservation for your first theme park of the day and scan into that park before heading to another theme park. Since you're planning on starting your day in Magic Kingdom Park, I encourage you to stop by
Cheshire Café for their signature (and my personal favorite) breakfast pastry, the Cheshire Cat Tail.
As a bonus tip: Since you'll be making so many family memories, I also suggest capturing them forever with the purchase of
Memory Maker. This will allow you to download photos taken by
Disney's PhotoPass Service photographers in addition to any fun attraction photos of yourself and up to 25 members of your Family & Friends List through your
My Disney Experience account. If you plan to make this purchase, I suggest doing it at least 3 days before your vacation so that you can save $25!
I hope this information was helpful, Kendall, and that your upcoming vacation is filled with magic! If you have any additional questions as you plan, feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
