Ahoy there, Joe! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for pulling alongside with your question!
I don't know about you, but I simply can't believe it's almost time for the Disney Wish to make her her debut! We've been waiting so long and now it's just a few months away! As excited as I am to get my first look this September, I'm just as excited for you and your crew to be joining Captain Minnie and all her friends this December!
Hmmm...a crew of eight, huh? Sounds like you've got what I like to call a real "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" situation going on! But have no fear! You and Happy, Sleepy, Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Sneezy, and Grumpy are sure to find a Disney Wish stateroom that works for you - I'll let you sort out who's who...haha!
Unfortunately, there aren't any discounts for large parties, but with a bit of strategic booking, you can find really great value on any sailing - something you've already accomplished by booking your cruise in the beginning of December! You may have traded a few degrees on the thermometer, but you gain a lot of value on the booking side!
When it comes to Disney Wish Staterooms, larger parties have more options than ever before! Several Concierge-level accommodations sleep six Guests or more and you can view these on the Concierge Staterooms overview!
- Concierge 2-Story Royal Suite with Verandah and the Concierge 1-Story Royal Suite with Verandah, each sleep 6 and are available (as of right now).
- Also, the Concierge Tower Suite on the Disney Wish can sleep eight in the most luxurious stateroom ever Imagineered on Disney Cruise Line! Unfortunately it is not available for the Dec. 2nd sailing.
Now personally, I believe suites can be very, VERY nice, however like you noted, Guest sleeping capacity isn't always as deluxe as the accommodations. So my suggestion to sleep your crew of eight would be to get a pair of adjoining rooms of any class in non-concierge level! While we can only assume how amazing the accommodations will be from their descriptions and renderings, I would have no qualms about booking two staterooms and making the request that they be adjoining by
calling a crew member directly! Just remember there must be at least one adult in each stateroom!
I'm sorry that the last time you tried calling that you got disconnected - the crew has been doing their best to navigate us through the increased call volume. I have had some success getting through calling both right when the phone lines open, as well as about three hours after - right about after that "first group" of callers has been helped!
Well Joe, I WISH that we could all be sailing on the newest ship in the fleet right now, but I suppose we'll keep the countdown ticking away on our
Disney Cruise Line Navigator apps! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others bubble to the surface as you continue your planning for your December cruise, please drop me another line here at planDisney!
Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
Andrew
