I have a group of 6 going to Rundisney in Jan. I don't want to have everyone charging things to my credit card with the MagicBand. Is it possible to set up each person's with their own? Also, does anything cause the RFID to deactivate?

    Hi Justine!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Running events at Disney with a group of friends is always a great idea!

You can each link your own credit card to your MagicBand. I find it easiest to set it up when you check-in. The Cast Member at the front desk can link everyone's card to their own band.  A fellow Moms Panelist offers the tip to stop by after the first day to get an itemized print out.  This way, you can make sure the proper cards are being charged before too many purchases are made.

The MagicBands with their RFID technology are pretty amazing. You won't have the same issues with deactivation that you may have with magnetic strips, similar to hotel room keys that get messed up if they are near a cell phone.  We have never had any trouble with our bands.

I hope this helps!  Please let me know if you have any other questions before your race.
