If we have a group reservation with multiple families, is it possible to automatically split charges that are scanned to a MagicBand to the appropriate family's credit card?

    Hi Ruth!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! This is a great question as MagicBands can do so many wonderful things, it's hard to remember them all! One thing that isn't difficult is to split up a dining bill when paying with multiple MagicBands, either on a Disney Dining Plan or by changing the purchase back to your Disney Resort Hotel.

The process is the exact same as when multiple families dine together at a regular restaurant when not at Walt Disney World Resort. Notify your server when the orders are being placed that your group would like separate checks to simplify the who-and-what-goes-on-which-check business. Once your meal is over, each separate check can be paid by each individual family. I actually dined at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' last week with four other Disney Parks Moms Panelists where we all charged our individual meals to our individual MagicBands; the process was faster than using a traditional credit card because the waitress was able to take our payments at the table and didn't need to run anything in the back! You'll be able to make separate dining and shopping charges with your MagicBand at all Disney Dining Locations, including the outdoor kitchens and snack carts all over Walt Disney World.

I hope this helped with your dining dilemmas, Ruth, and We'll See You Real Soon!
