Hey there, Richard! Welcome!
It's great to hear about your upcoming
Walt Disney World Resort visit with your group, especially your interest in staying at one of the fantastic
Disney Resorts Collection properties. You mention
Fort Wilderness, which will be your camping-style vacation by booking a campsite for RV’s or tents. Still, maybe you meant
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, which offers Deluxe hotel accommodations. Either way, the criteria for group rates will be the same. To qualify for a group rate at Walt Disney World, you must book ten (10) rooms or more.
If you don’t need that many rooms, I recommend keeping an eye on the
Special Offers, Deals & Discounts page. Currently, there is an offer of up to 30% off rooms at Select Disney Resort Hotels for stays of five nights or longer, and there is a special offer for Disney Water Park Seasonal Passes, among others. The offers or promotions are continuously changing, so keep checking back, and maybe there will be something appealing to you.
Richard, I highly recommend staying on property during our vacations, mainly because of the
complimentary transportation options. When staying at the Walt Disney World Resort, you can access transportation via bus, boat, monorail, and
Disney Skyliner (which I highly recommend)! Not only will you have complimentary transportation, but you will also have access to
early theme park entry and potentially extended evening hours if you choose a Deluxe hotel. More time in the parks with your group sounds like my ideal Disney vacation!
Have a great trip,
Brent
