Group of 3 at POR, all on the fluffy side. We would like our own bed. If we request a room with the pull down bed, will we get it since we are not a party of 5? What area of the resort are the pull down beds located and are they a standard room?

    Hi Jaynee!

Thank you for sending me this question directly.  I really appreciate it.

All of the rooms in the Alligator Bayou section of Port Orleans Riverside now have the extra pull-down or Murphy bed.  That has always been my favorite section of the resort due to the feel of the buildings, the atmosphere of the rooms, and the landscaping.  Alligator Bayou makes up have the resort so if you request to stay in a room in Alligator Bayou there is a good chance you will get it; I have stayed there over a decade and have never had a problem getting a room in Alligator Bayou.  Just be sure to put the request in when you make your reservation.  There are both standard and preferred rooms in Alligator Bayou and both have the extra bed; the preferred rooms just put you closer to the front lobby and the food court.

I love Port Orleans Riverside.  It is my favorite Disney Moderate Resort.  Be sure to save some time to explore the resort and be sure to take the boat down to Downtown Disney.  It is a fun and relaxing way to get there, especially at night.
