We have a group of 6 people (one of them is a 3 year old).Am I able to do park and dinner reservations for the entire party or do we have to do them individually? Also we arrive on 10/1 so when can we start booking dinner reservations and character dining

Hi Joe! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you found us to ask these questions.

How exciting that you're planning a vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth! You can actually make theme park reservations for your entire travel party, provided you are linked through Family and Friends on your My Disney Experience account. Let's talk about how to make sure everyone is connected so you can make those very important theme park reservations. On the Walt Disney World website, log in to your My Disney Experience account and select "My Family and Friends." Once on that screen, you can scroll down and select "Add a Guest." You will be given a few different ways in which you can add to this list. You can also add to your Family & Friends list using the My Disney Experience Mobile app. If you have another family member who also has the app, you can ask that family member to open their app, select "My Profile", and then tap "Show My Linking Code." You will open your app and under "My Profile" tap "Friends & Family" and "Add a Guest." On the next screen, you can select "Scan their linking code" to add them to your Family & Friends list. It's as easy as saying Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo!

You can also start making advanced dining reservations up to 60 days before your arrival date. You don't have to have everyone listed under your dining reservation, but you will need to account for every person that will need a seat, including the 3-year-old. When I have traveled with our family on a Disney vacation, I have included them in the decision of where we will eat. Because you are nearing the 60-day mark to make your advanced dining reservations, I would suggest sharing some of the menus for the dining locations you are interested in and having your family weigh in on their favorites. If you are looking for a great character dining experience for all ages, I especially recommend breakfast at Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort.

If you have more questions as you are planning, please feel free to ask me at planDisney. I'm always happy to help!

    Happy Planning!
    Smiles,
